Deadline reports on Friday (Nov. 1) that Lifetime has given the series the ax, ensuring that fans never receive a Season 3. The decision was apparently a mutual one between the network and producer Sony Pictures TV, canceling for mainly talented-related reasons.

It had been reported back in June that talks were at a standstill with Hewitt, an executive producer on the series, wanting real-life fiance and co-star Brian Hallisay to be the fictional father of her character Riley's baby. The writer's, however, wanted Colin Egglesfield, who played Riley's love interest, to be the father.

Now, no one will be the father.

Are you disappointed that there will be no Season 3 of "The Client List"?
