Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar stopped by "The Talk" on Thursday morning (Sept. 26) in order to promote their new sitcom "The Crazy Ones," premiering later Thursday night.

Williams revealed the reason why he returned to TV more than 30 years after "Mork and Mindy." "[Creator] David E. Kelly," Williams says. "I had a meeting with him and I went, 'I'm in.' He's wonderful."

As for why Gellar chose the new series, her reason was sitting right next to her: Williams. "I use the term stalker lightly," Gellar jokes. "I used the regular channels that everyone could think of and I thought there's got to be a way that I can get to Robin Williams. But it's not the easiest. You can't just look him up in the phone book. But it happens that his best friend of forever is married to my really good friend." She had a whole chain of people call other people in order to let Williams know she wanted a part on the show, and it worked out.

The two stars also talk about their first table read together, Williams' improv on the show, and more.
