"Reign's" Mary better watch her back -- a new lady is coming to court, and she's got her eyes set on Mary's betrothed! This could spell trouble for Mary and the two countries relying on her impending marriage.

The CW's new period drama just cast Yael Grobglas (one of the stars of The CW's failed pilot "The Selection") to play a romantic threat in Season 1, E! News reports. She will take on the role of Olivia, an Italian noblewoman who has romantic history with Prince Francis (Toby Regbo). Her reappearance at court under extreme circumstances threatens Francis' new, and highly important, engagement with Mary Stuart (Adelaide Kane).

"Reign" also recently cast the recurring roles of Holby City as Luke Roberts -- an English diplomat -- and Katie Boland as Clarissa -- a strange woman with a disfigured face, causing her to hide in the shadows.

The CW's highly-anticipated new historical drama follows the journey Mary takes to becoming Mary, Queen of Scots, and the political intrigue, dark forces, and sexual intrigue in the French court. Check out more scoop on Season 1 of "Reign" here.

"Reign" premieres Thursday, Oct. 17 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
