'The Daily Show': Jon Stewart grills Hillary Clinton on presidential plans

Jon Stewart really wants Hillary Clinton to announce her candidacy for president on "The Daily Show." Unfortunately, that's not exactly what he gets from the former secretary of state and first lady. Clinton does, however, leave the possibility very open.

Watch the video from Tuesday's (July 15) to see for yourself.

The question of the presidency comes up fairly quickly when Stewart starts asking about Clinton's new book. He points out that it's thick and full of important issues. But ... "I think I speak for everybody when I say no one cares. They just want to know if you're running for president."

After laughing heartily, Clinton says that Stewart ruined the moment for her so she won't say anything, even if she wanted to.

Stewart is not deterred. With all answers leading the host to an assumption of a 2016 run, he launches into an aptitude test (commute vs. home office). Clinton does make all sorts of indications in the direction Stewart wants, but she still admits nothing.

Then she really gets going talking about the book. Sorry, "Daily Show"! No big announcement this time.
