"The Flash" hasn't premiered yet, but the DC Comics-based show is already lining up villains for Barry Allen to fight. The latest member of the Rogues' Gallery? That would be Girder, who is set to appear in episode 6 of the upcoming Season 1.

According to TVLine, Girder is the alter ego of a recurring character named Tony Woodward. Tony was once a bully who used to pick on young Barry (Grant Gustin) back in school. He becomes Girder after the particle-accelerator explosion at Star Labs. The character is described as someone who is "a grinning lunkhead who loves destruction" and "an unstoppable force ... who can transmute any part of his body into solid steel."

That could be problematic.

There is no casting announced for this role yet and it's not clear how close the show's Girder will be to the comics version -- that villain fell into molten metal and emerged as an iron man impervious to everything but rust.

"The Flash" premieres Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
