Seth_MacFarlane_Getty.jpgYabba dabba nope. Seth MacFarlane has decided that he's too busy with his current projects to be able to reboot "The Flintstones" in time for the 2013 TV season.

Deadline is reporting that MacFarlane has struck a deal to put the remake on indefinite hold citing his pre-existing commitments. MacFarlane is currently EP of "Family Guy," "American Dad" and "The Cleveland Show." He also is co-producing a 13-part docu-series "Cosmos: A Space-Time Odyssey." If that wasn't enough, MacFarlane also just wrote, directed and produced the upcoming Mark Wahlberg movie "Ted."

MacFarlane was planning to co-write "The Flintstones" remake. The publication is reporting that to meet the 2013 air date, production needed to begin last year. But it's clear someone was a bit too busy to meet this obligation.

The original animated series aired from 1960-66.
