'The Following' reviewed by actual serial killer: Seriously.

the-following-poe-mask.jpgBecause we all really care what murderers think about television shows, the New York Post sought out the opinion of Raven, an actual serial killer, on FOX's new Kevin Bacon thriller "The Following."

Seriously.

Raven, who is profiled on Investigation Discovery's television series "Dark Minds," is a convicted serial killer serving a life sentence in a maximum security prison cell... where he gets basic cable. (We repeat: seriously.)

He tuned in to "The Following," which comes from "Scream" scribe Kevin Williamson and follows Edgar Allen Poe-obsessed murderer Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) as he puppeteers a cult-like group of killer followers. Bacon plays the former FBI Agent tasked with getting to the bottom of Joe's twisted plan.

Raven is not impressed. "We would never kill in that manner," he tells the Post. "We don't have Edgar Allan Poe heads in a closet. Real serial killers create a legend. They don't latch onto Edgar Allan Poe."

Apparently, real serial killers go by the name "Raven" on reality television shows.

Next, can we ask Raven what he thinks about "Real Housewives of Atlanta"?
