'The forgotten': '24' star Elisha Cuthbert pulling double duty

elisha-cuthbert.jpg Elisha Cuthbert is joining "the forgotten" on ABC starting February 2010.

Cuthbert has been cast in a recurring role -- Maxine Denver, a Chicago professional who is "forced to put her skepticism of 'amateur detectives' aside when The Forgotten Network begins investigating a case close to home," according to the ABC press release.

We've already seen Cuthbert reprising her role of Kim Bauer on at least one episode of "24" on FOX, so it looks like this girl next door is pulling double network duty come spring. There's no word yet on just how many episodes of either show Cuthbert is doing, but still... that's a lotta blonde after the holidays.

"The forgotten" also stars Christian Slater, Michelle Borth, Heather Stephens, Rochelle Aytes, Bob Stephenson and Anthony Carrigan. It airs Tuesdays at 10 pm ET/PT on ABC.
