'The Fosters' Season 2: Meet Anchor Beach queen bee Caitlin Carver
Dancer/actress Caitlin Carver plays the HBIC, and tells Zap2it that you'll see way more of Hayley when she attends the rager at the Foster home.
"The parents, Lena and Stef, go on a babymoon just for the weekend and the kids all have the house to themselves and they end up throwing a little gathering," Carver says. ("Little" might be a bit of an understatement.) "Hayley comes to this party super vulnerable because she's just been broken up with by her older boyfriend, and there are some really exciting and dramatic things that happen. It's going to be a really funny episode."
Carver has been dancing since the age of 2, but only started doing theater in high school. After focusing on her dance career for a few years, she decided to get back into acting and landed on "The Fosters."
She's not the only professional dancer on Anchor Beach's team -- there are a few of them, including a former "So You Think You Can Dance" contestant. So yes, you'll be treated to plenty of awesome dances throughout Season 2.
"[Hayley's] the star of the school's dance team so you'll get to see her dance throughout the show, which is really cool," Carver says.
Hayley anchors Mariana's new group of friends. "I think Hayley is definitely the ringleader, the confident boss of the group," Carver says. "She knows what she wants and she is going to do whatever it takes to get that."
But that might not necessarily be a good thing. "When Mariana joins the dance team she's influenced by all these girls," Carver says. "It's a different atmosphere than what Mariana is used to. You'll get to see Mariana have to deal with some interesting situations."
"The Fosters" airs at 9 p.m. ET/PT Tuesdays on ABC Family, and Carver will recur as Hayley throughout the first half of Season 2.
