'The Grey' director to write and direct 'Death Wish' remake
According to the LA Times, a source says that Carnahan has been approached to remake the film that launched the career of Charles Bronson. Bronson played Paul Kersey, a liberal architect who becomes an assassin after his wife and daughter are brutally attacked. The film was controversial in its day because of the high level of violence, but it also launched the modern action film genre.
Four sequels were made with the franchise eventually falling flat in 1994. Sylvester Stallone tried to do a reboot, but the project got stuck in development about five years ago. "The Grey" is getting great reviews so we're dying to know if this is good news to fans of the original "Death Wish." Who would you like to see cast as Paul? Let us know below.
