'The Hobbit' final video blog shows post-production work as premiere draws near
The final "The Hobbit" video blog has hit the web just days prior to the movie's New Zealand premiere, and director Peter Jackson is cutting finishing the project close to the wire. The final look into "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" production shows the movie headed into post-production during the weeks leading up to its Nov. 28 premiere.
There are some new scenes from the movie mixed in with the various crew members discussing the roles they play in finishing the first "Hobbit" film, including one where Bilbo Baggins finds himself facing off against some trolls. If that's not enough to charm you, then wait until you see the section of this 14-minute-long video about the team assigned with digitally creating beards for the film.
"The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" is due in theaters on Dec. 14. Following that release, "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" will come out on Dec. 13, 2013 and "The Hobbit: There and Back Again" will hit theaters on July 18, 2014.
