'The Hobbit' new trailer has four alternate endings for Bilbo Baggins
Warner Bros. released a new trailer for Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit" today but the version widely circulated online doesn't tell the full story.
The movie's official site offers up five different versions of the trailer -- each with slightly tweaked endings -- available for fans to choose from. Watch one, or watch them all. The only differences come in the final moments, but hardcore fans of Jackson's films or J.R.R. Tolkien's books may be grateful for any extra peek they get into the cinematic vision of Middle Earth.
Each of the alternate endings features Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman, who is also up for an Emmy this Sunday for his performance on "Sherlock") interacting with a different character: Ian McKellen's Gandalf, the dwarves, Elrond (Hugo Weaving) or Gollum.
