The "Sucker Punch" and "Hatfield and McCoys" star's name was linked last week to the role of tribute Johanna Mason, the District 7 victor who teams up with Katniss Everdeen ( Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark ( Josh Hutcherson) in their return to fight-to-the-death competition.

Since Johanna also appears in "Mockingjay," the trilogy's third installment, Malone is virtually guaranteed a role in the subsequent film.
