After all the anticipation of casting "The Hunger Games," the shoot is apparently ready to start rolling. So, where will Katniss call home for at least the week of May 19 to May 26?
According to the Hickory Daily Record, the film will set up camp in Hildebran, N.C. and the locals seem to be excited about Hollywood descending upon them despite some temporary road closures and other inconveniences in their daily lives.
According to locals, the film based on the Suzanne Collins young adult novel is going by the fake title, "Artemis," though townsfolk who have been dealing with the production confirm that it's "The Hunger Games." Apparently, the producers were looking for some "old mill villages." Sounds like Katniss and Peeta's District 12, no?
Local roads will be closed, causing difficulties for some, but the idea of having Tinsel Town there for a week has other residents buzzing.
"People around here are kind of excited about it," town clerk Ella Caudle tells the newspaper.
Even while the production asked officials to keep the shoot quiet, the news got out. Residents have apparently already created Facebook pages and websites in which to discuss the film.
So, who does it sound like the town is most excited about? According to the article, they were abuzz with the news of Stanley Tucci joining the production, though we're not sure if they'll actually see him. Correct us if we're wrong, but games interviewer Caesar Flickerman doesn't visit District 12 in the book. It's a been a bit since we read it.
At the very least, they may get a peek at lead actress, Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson (who plays Peeta), and Katniss' sister and mom played by Willow Shields and Paula Malcomson, respectively.
Are you excited to hear that shooting is finally starting?
