'The League' drafts NFL players Josh Cribbs and Terrell Suggs

Show creators Jeff Schaffer and Jackie Marcus Schaffer tell Zap2it that Josh Cribbs and Terrell Suggs are facing off on the show the same week they face off in the NFL season.

"We actually have Josh Cribbs and Terrell Suggs," says Jackie. "It's been an amazing thing for Jeff and I because we're such football fans. Without naming names, the phone calls that have been rolling in this season, people who have approached us to be on the show. Let's just say there's a couple people who turned us down in Season 1 and now they're asking to be on the show."

"A whole bunch of players that would be Top 5 fantasy draft picks want to be on the show," adds Jeff. "To have these guys on your fantasy football team and to know that they actually want to work with you is incredible."

Cribbs, a Browns wide receiver and kick returner, and Suggs, a Ravens linebacker, will be guest-starring in the third episode of Season 2, which airs Thursday, Sept. 30.

"That's the week where the Browns play the Ravens in Baltimore," says Jackie. "We're actually all going to be out there on a comedy tour and we're going to actually go to the game and see Suggs and Cribbs play live."

"The League" premieres Thursday, Sept .16 at 10:30 pm. ET on FX.
