'The League' gets a fifth season on FXAdd to Favorites | The League
"The League," whose Season 4 finale airs Thursday (Dec. 20), has averaged about 1.6 million viewers in its first run this fall -- with nearly all of those viewers (1.45 million) falling in the adults 18-49 demographic. Multiple runs bump the audience to 2.4 million viewers per week and 2.1 million adults 18-49.
"'The League' is flat-out one of the funniest shows on television," says Nick Grad, FX's head of original programming. "Co-creators Jeff and Jackie Schaffer have such a perfect take on the material, and the show has an amazingly talented ensemble cast of stars. Another season was an easy decision and we hope to have it on our schedule for many more years to come."
Thursday's two-part finale, starting at 10:30 p.m. ET, features the return of Jeff Goldblum as Rupert Ruxin and Brooklyn Decker as Gina Gibiatti. Andre ( Paul Scheer) and Trixie (guest star Jayma Mays) will also see their relationship tested.
