simon-templeman-khloe-kardashian-chloe-sevigny.jpgBite-sized news from the world of television, including a new A&E pilot starring Chloe Sevigny and a fresh title for one of NBC's midseason series:

- And they said it wouldn't last. ABC's critically derided aliens-in-the-suburbs comedy "The Neighbors" has earned a full season of 22 episodes. (ABC)

- Now that the World Series is over, FOX has decided to launch live shows of "The X Factor" one day earlier than previously announced. The competition kicks off Wednesday, Oct. 31, with performances from the top 16 acts and the debut of hosts Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez. (FOX)

- Chloe Sevigny can't stop making TV shows. The former "Big Love" actress recently starred in DirecTV's "Hit & Miss" (which will not have a second season) and currently recurs on FX's "American Horror Story: Asylum." Next, she'll take the lead as a detective hunting serial killers in A&E's pilot "Those Who Kill." "Last Resort" actor Omid Abtahi has also joined the cast as a colleague of Sevigny's character. ( TVLine/ Deadline)

- NBC is changing the title of midseason mystery-soap "Infamous" once again. Originally titled "Notorious," the show starring Meagan Good and Tate Donovan will now be called "Deception." And the network is promising that's the title it will have when it launches at a still to be determined date. ( Deadline)

- Another midseason series, FOX's serial killer thriller "The Following," is adding to actors to a cast led by Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy. Mike Colter ("Ringer") and Warren Kole ("Common Law") have signed on for recurring roles as a FBI agent and cult follower, respectively. ( TVLine/ TVLine)
