taylor-kitsch-the-normal-heart.jpgTim Riggins will have to just live on in our clear hearts. While promoting the powerful upcoming HBO original film "The Normal Heart" Taylor Kitsch sat down with MTV's Josh Horowitz and sadly revealed he never wanted to make to make a "Friday Night Lights" movie because he was happy with the way the series ended.

The idea for a movie was officially squashed a while ago, but fans everywhere still have a lot of love for Coach Taylor and the beloved Dylan Panthers. Kitsch speaks of his character fondly, saying, "I love playing that guy. The beauty of Rigs was the guys love him. They wanna get drunk with Riggins. If I go to the bar just for a drink or a beer -- it's all flattering -- but it's like, guys I'm not 18 with an alcohol problem."

Luckily we can still marathon old episodes of FNL in the comfort of our own home and can catch Taylor in "The Normal Heart," which premieres Sunday, May 25 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
