'The Office': Does Jim have to be such a nice guy?
However, watching Jim ( John Krasinski) try to physically save Dwight ( Rainn Wilson) from being fired as the new vice president of Sabre after Robert California ( James Spader) reveals to Jim that he's going to tank the Sabre store left me asking out loud, is Jim really that nice of a guy?
I mean, other than the Jiminy Cricket voice of kind reason in his head and his wife Pam ( Jenna Fischer) telling him he had to try his hardest to tell Dwight he was being fired, why on earth would he really go to such lengths to keep Dwight at Dunder Mifflin? Dwight was set to stay in Florida forever -- and Jim was super-psyched at the prospect -- but his good-guy sensibilities just forced him to keep Dwight on board at all costs?
What do you think? Was Jim right in bringing Dwight back to Scranton or should he have just let him meet his fate in Florida?
