'The Office's' Rainn Wilson tells Jay Leno how Steve Carell leaves
This is a pretty big spoiler, but Rainn Wilson has totally spilled the beans on how Steve Carell leaves "The Office."
"Yeah, he gets killed off. He gets his head blown off," Wilson told Jay Leno on Thursday's (March 17) "Tonight Show." "It's in his contract, so they can't write him back in." (The "Office" talk starts about the 1:20 mark, after some nonsense about setting a Guinness record for the biggest gathering of people dressed like leprechauns.)
OK -- so we're guessing that's probably not how it goes down. More seriously, Wilson says Carell's last week was an emotional one for the cast and crew.
"It was so sad. Steve obviously has been front and center on the show for so long," he says. "Trying to shoot comedy in that last week he was with us was really tough. It was very tearful, I have to say. ...
"Steve, if you're watching, we miss you, Dad. Come home please."
