'The Paul Reiser Show': Sneak a peek at NBC's new single camera sitcom

You know Paul Reiser? The dude from the 90s show, "Mad About You," with Helen Hunt? He played her husband?

Yeah, well, he's back with his own sitcom. Starring him. As himself.

A single camera comedy -- which Reiser is also writing and producing along with Jonathan Shapiro ("Life") -- the show will follow a fictional version of Reiser (think Larry David on "Curb Your Enthusiasm") as he lives a normal life, post TV fame.

The hilarity which ensues will include Reiser's buddies -- his wife's friends' husbands, his kids' friends' dads -- whom, with him, make up a horrendous basketball team.

The cast of characters includes Ben Shenkman of "Angels in America" as Jonathan, Omid Djalili of "The Infidel" as Habib, Duane Martin of "All of Us" as Fernando and Andrew Daly of "MADtv" as Brad.
