'The Real World' alum Puck hospitalized after serious car accident [UPDATED]

real-world-san-fran.jpg Puck Rainey, the infamous antagonist from "The Real World: San Francisco" and 2003's "Real World/Road Rules Battle of the Sexes," has been seriously injured in a San Diego car accident.

Sources close to the family tell TMZ that Rainey (whose real first name is David) and his 7-year-old son, Bogart Che Peyote, were on a father-son fishing trip on Friday (March 19) when Rainey swerved to avoid a deer on Route 79.

Rainey was trapped when his car rolled down an embankment and landed in a creek, upside-down. He helped his son out of the car, who then flagged down help.

Puck broke both feet, his right hand, and his neck. He also fractured his sternum and clavicle. Bogart bruised internal organs and severely damaged his liver, but has been released from the hospital, while Puck is expected to remain under hospital observation for at least a week.
