"The Simpsons" has bid its final farewell to Edna Krabappel, Bart's teacher. The touching tribute to the late Marcia Wallace came at the end of Sunday's (March 9) episode, "The Man Who Grew Too Much."

After completing the main story, which saw the return of Sideshow Bob (Kelsey Grammer), the show returned with an epilogue featuring Edna dancing with Ned Flanders, when she threw out her signature laugh. The scene is revealed to be a dream Flanders was having.

"I sure do miss that laugh," he says with a picture of Krabappel sitting next to another of his late wife, Maude. That's when class bully Nelson pops up with his own laugh, before telling Ned, "I miss her too."

Wallace died in October, after a 30-year battle with breast cancer.
