'The Vampire Diaries' has a special video message for 2013 graduates

At the end of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 4, the most supernaturally challenged kids at Mystic Falls High School finally graduated. Sure, they had pretty much all died already before the big day came, but at least they got to get those diplomas.

Now, the show wants to make sure that all of its fans get the same chance. Out here in the real world, where people don't get to come back from the dead (even for graduation), there are some safety concerns that all should keep in mind.

Most shows would focus on graduation after-parties, warning high school kids that drinking is not the best choice. "The Vampire Diaries" is not most shows. Instead, the main warning to be learned from this "TVD" video is mortarboard safety: When you toss those graduation caps high in the air, be careful that they are not headed directly at a vulnerable neck.

The results aren't pretty.

So Happy Graduation to the Class of 2013! And again, remember: People don't come back from the dead in real life, only in "The Vampire Diaries."
