'The Vampire Diaries' Season 4 scoop: Todd Williams cast as the new hunter in town
With our old favorite "Vampire Diaries" hunter currently hovering around in ghost world, it's time for a new slayer to come to town. Zap2it has learned that "The Chicago Code's" Todd Williams has been cast as Connor, who executive producer Julie Plec describes as "a mysterious and powerful new vampire hunter who comes to Mystic Falls."
As we previously reported, Connor isn't quite as warm and fuzzy (or as drunk) as Alaric. He's got a soldier's mentality and will have some very intimidating moments.
It remains to be seen whether he'll become an ally or a foe for our merry band of monsters -- but let's face it, as fans of the show, we figure he'll probably be some complicated combination of the two.
Williams is best known for his work on two seasons of "In Plain Sight" as a detective, and one season on Shawn Ryan's short-lived "The Chicago Code" as a cop.
