'The View': Elisabeth Hasselbeck fires back at Bill Maher, discredits his manhood
Elisabeth Hasselbeck is unhappy about her recent mention on HBO's "Real Time With Bill Maher." The host, referring to detained journalist Lara Logan, Maher offered up Hasselbeck to Egyptian President Mubarak in exchange.
Hasselbeck brought the segment up on the Feb. 7 episode of "The View," calling his remarks sexist and then making a bit of an odd argument against free speech. When Barbara Walters mentioned that he was entitled to use comedy as he wants to, Hasselbeck more or less nominated him for deportation.
"Well he's in the wrong country then," she says, "because we should be able to think differently and appreciate across the board that we are in a country where we can express our beliefs."
Apparently the one thing the two can agree on is that they don't want to be in the same country.
Hasselbeck dismissed her co-hosts questions about whether she was upset by the comments. "He doesn't have the ability to hurt my feelings," she says. "because he's not a real man."
