adam-levine-interview-top-5-the-voice-nbc.jpgAs "The Voice" heads into its final weeks with just five contestants left, several coaches are hanging on to their shot at the crown by just the skin of their teeth, if they've even got a shot at all. (Sorry, CeeLo Green!) And then there's Adam Levine.

The Maroon 5 frontman may have had a scare with Team Adam artist James Wolpert landing in the bottom two on Tuesday (Dec. 3), but it was just that -- a scare. With James, Tessanne Chin and Will Champlin moving on, Levine's team is intact, claiming three of the final five spots. Speaking with reporters backstage following the show, he admits his team's success leaves him with more work than anyone other coach.

"It does make it more difficult because all of my eggs are not in one basket, they are in three," Levine says, referencing fellow coaches Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera, who've each only got one artist left. "You have to distribute the eggs evenly [or] you are f***ed. I need more eggs and more baskets."

When asked if he's feeling good about his chances to take the win, considering the odds, Levine bristles at the idea. "Well they made it to the Top 5, I did not," he admits. "I'm not in the Top 5, I'm just their coach. And yes, maybe, but I'm just lucky to be the guy they got to coach them. And that's what I want to keep doing -- coach them to victory."

So, what's his biggest challenge for the coming week? "Don't screw it up," he whispers, joking, before getting serious. "I don't know, just to keep these guys positive and happy and energetic and excited and in it. That's my plan."

Do you think a Team Adam artist will manage to take the title this season?
