'The Voice': CeeLo Green talks Adam Levine's drive to win, his off-season plansAdd to Favorites | The Voice
Speaking with reporters backstage after Tuesday's (Dec. 3) episode, Green admitted that he's hoping to have a hand in at least one artist's remaining weeks on the show. "You know Cole [ Vosbury,] who's on Team Blake [ Shelton] now, was originally discovered by me," he says. "No one turned around for Cole but me. I'm so pleasantly surprised that he's still in the race. I support him and so, I'm going to go over tomorrow and visit with him and see what's going on, see if I can put my two cents in."
Cole and his coach may need all the help they can get, with rival coach Adam Levine absolutely dominating the season, mentoring three of the final Top 5. "Adam is focused," Green says of the Maroon 5 frontman. "You know what, this happens to all of us. Everybody's the best of friends earlier on [in] the innocent part, initially, of just finding people at auditions, which is probably my favorite part. When you get to this point, the fangs come out and everybody realizes that, 'Oh s***, I wanna win.' So Adam is one of those fierce competitors. When he wants to win, he truly does. I really can appreciate that."
"He's the sexiest fangs alive," he adds, teasing Levine for his recent People magazine honor. "He's a young Bela Lugosi."
Though Green's due to sit out this spring's Season 6, he reveals he hopes he won't be away from the action entirely. "I've been trying to propose a new thing with maybe putting both seasons together, like when Usher and Shakira come back for next season," he says. "I want to be a part of that."
