Despite what we thought was a weaker group of singers in its second week, "The Voice" seemed to coast on the positive buzz from its premiere episode winning the 18-49 crowd during last episode's airing.
For Tuesday, NBC's reality competition show pulls it next rabbit out of its hat with the Battle rounds. Now, the coaches have to pare down each of their teams from eight to four members. That means the performers have to sing a song against one of their teammates at the same time with the loser saying sayonara to their dreams of winning the competition. Awkward!
In the preview above, coach Christina Aguilera (who must have the same stylist as "Jersey Shore's" Snooki) discovers tension between Frenchie Davis and Tarralyn Ramsey as they're practicing their song together and delivers her version of a "Stand and Deliver" speech. Too much.
Also, coach Blake Shelton will premiere his newest music video for the single, "Honey Bee," on NBC Tuesday (May 10) starting at 9 a.m. ET. Fans can also watch the full video Tuesday at the NBC website.
"'Honey Bee" is a feel-good, fun summer song," Shelton says. "I had such a blast shooting a video for it. We filmed the video while we were taping NBC's 'The Voice' so it feels appropriate to premiere it on NBC.com. I am really excited for everyone to finally see it."
