'The Voice' results: The Top 3 revealed - Who made it to the finals?Add to Favorites | The Voice
Tuesday (Dec. 10) was a big night for "The Voice," as the hit NBC competition readies to head into its final week. Not only did a plethora of former contestants return to perform their new, original work (more on that later), but the show shed two artists from the Top 5, revealing the final three singer left in the game. So who went home? And did either Christina Aguilera or Blake Shelton join CeeLo Green in the loser's circle? Or did Adam Levine finally say goodbye to an artist? Let's find out!
Switching things up a bit, host Carson Daly called the Top 5 on stage to reveal not the first artist safe, but the first artist going home. And that unlucky soul was Team Adam's James Wolpert. After a teary hug with the other artists and a standing ovation from his coach, which became another emotional hug, James left the building. Farewell, James.
After a bit more music, the four remaining artists were brought back out so Carson could reveal the first finalists of the evening. And that distinction went to Team Adam's Tessanne Chin. After that incredible performance of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" last night, was there any doubt?
With three left, the show went into stall mode with a bit more music, before Carson brought out the remaining three artists to reveal the next one with the lucky ticket to the finals. And that deserving individual was Team Christina's Jacquie Lee, leaving Team Blake's Cole Vosbury and Team Adam's Will Champlin left in jeopardy.
So, who got cut? After allowing both artists share some thoughts with their coaches, Carson revealed the verdict: Cole's going home. Will makes it through.
And that's that. Did America get it right? Sound off in the comments below.
Bonus: Let's grade "The Voice" alumni and their original material!
The Swon Brothers - "Later On": C - Like usual, serviceable and bland. Some things never change
Michelle Chamuel - "Go Down Singing": A- - A really fun song true to her spirit. That drum line was a great addition.
Cassadee Pope - "I Wish I Could Break Your Heart": B- - Confusing lyrics, but pretty song
Danielle Bradberry - "Never Like This": A - A really mature song for the young girl, but it only worked to show how much she's grown since last season. And she sounded incredible.
