NBC revealed on Tuesday (Aug. 20) that returning original coach Christina Aguilera had found her team's musical advisor in the form of British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran.

Sheeran, who has written songs for Taylor Swift and One Direction and gone gold in the US with his debut album "+," will join Aguilera in mentoring her contestants for the highly competitive Battle Rounds, wherein two artists on the same time are pitted against one another in a duet duel.

Season 5 of "The Voice" premieres Monday, Sept. 23 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. The Battle Rounds, along with Sheeran's appearance, will air Oct. 14 and 15.

Do you think Sheeran will make a great mentor on 'The Voice"?
