'The Voice's' Blake Shelton on Miranda Lambert: 'It is what is meant to be'

Blake Shelton: March 26. It's called "Based on a True Story." The overall feeling of the album is it is just a ton of fun. There are some ballads on there. I will always be a guy who does some ballads. That is what country is to me. It is also rowdy. It is all songs about situations I have been on, or things I have done, or am doing because it is hard to come up with a complete album, and every song rings true to me. I only wrote one of the songs on there.

Zap2it: How's married life?

Blake Shelton: I love it. Everybody says things are going to change when you get married. Miranda [ Lambert] and I have been together for a long time now. There's no getting away from it, and we are meant to be together, and we embrace that and I love it. It is what is meant to be.

Zap2it: How often are you touring?

Blake Shelton: Not as much as I used to. I just can't, and that is OK with me. I always wanted to get to a point in my career where I didn't have to play 200 shows a year, and do 80 and spread them out and not go to the same town year after year, and make it more of an event. One of the things I admired about George Strait's career is it was always a big deal when he came to Oklahoma City, and he only came through once every three years.
