Four movies made more than $20 million at the box office this weekend, the first time that's ever happened on a non-holiday weekend, as three new movies finished way ahead of their projections.

"The Vow" led the pack with an estimated $41.7 million, keeping its momentum up after an impressive opening on Friday. "Safe House" also kept audiences coming in throughout the weekend, earning $39.3 million.

"Journey 2: The Mysterious Island," which had been expected to make in the neighborhood of $15 million for the weekend, blew away those projections. It earned an estimated $27.6 million to finish third.

The rerelease of "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace" in 3-D made $23 million to finish fourth. "Chronicle," which had a surprisingly strong opening last weekend, stayed healthy in fifth place, while Daniel Radcliffe's "The Woman in Black" finished sixth.
