'The Walking Dead': Lauren Cohan on looking good after the zombie apocalypse
If you want to look good after the zombie apocalypse ... you probably can't. So says "The Walking Dead" star Lauren Cohan in this new behind-the-scenes clip from AMC.
"I think beyond basic shaving and hair-cutting, it's probably all a bit of a moot point," Cohan says.
It's a TV show, so Cohan and her co-stars are a little more put together than the average survivor might be. But the show doesn't skimp on the grit and grime either. Cohan describes the dirtying-up process by the show's makeup team this way: "It's grease and it's blood and it's dirt, and then it's zombie gunk, and sometimes it's green, putrid, kind of rotted brain. That all gets sealed with a lovely coat of sunscreen."
All that looks great on camera, but Cohan says it can make for some awkward moments at Target.
"The Walking Dead" airs at 9 p.m. ET Sunday on AMC.
