"I'm the one black guy? Realize how precarious that makes my situation?" -- T-Dog

In next Sunday's (Oct. 23) episode of "The Walking Dead," the hunt for Sophia continues -- but meanwhile back at the ranch, errr, RV, T-Dog ( IronE Singleton) is starting to doubt his fellow survivors.

In the clip above, he tries to convince Dale ( Jeffrey DeMunn) to take off with him and leave the rest of the crew behind. It's another indication of just how much the interplay between the characters is changing this season. The survivors have gotten past the "we're just trying to survive" phase and are starting to think about what their own competing interests. The exchange also really underscores how little these people know about each other. Dale isn't the kind of guy to leave anyone behind, especially Andrea ( Laurie Holden).

"I'm talking about two good ol' boy sheriffs and the brother of a redneck who cut off his own hand because I dropped a key," says T-Dog, who just had his life saved twice by that redneck -- Daryl (Norman Reedus).

T-Dog's complaint also has a second TV meta-meaning. Minority characters, it's true, often end up on the casualty list first. The fact that "The Walking Dead" is acknowledging this only makes us like the show more.
