'The X Factor's' inTENsity: 'Hopefully we'll continue as a group'

intensity-x-factor-intervie.jpginTENsity was the first act eliminated from "The X Factor" once the American public began voting. They talk to the press about their experience in the competition.

On their plans moving forward:

"Hopefully we'll continue as a group. We just want to try and be positive even though right now it might seem like the world is kind of ending. We're just going to try and see what kind of opportunities we get from this." - Austin Percario

On Paula as a mentor:

"I think Paula is one of the most amazing mentors b/c she was one of the only judges who was there every day, after rehearsals, she would always help us, she would be our choreographer. It was just so amazing having her as a mentor." - Ma'at Bingham Shango

On why they think they had a harder time than the solo artists:

"It's a lot easier to connect with a solo artist on screen because you're only focusing on them ... with a group, especially with a 10-person group, you can't focus on every single person in the group. I feel like America really didn't get to connect with us a lot. We hope that eventually they will." - John Lindahl

On song choice:

"We were really nervous with our first two song choices. We were oringally going to sing 'Kids in America' and 'We Got the Beat' and we just really didn't want to put off the childish like, teeny-bopper kind of vibe. We wanted to be more pop and more edgy, so we actually chose the other song, 'Party Rock Anthem,' ourselves." - Francesca Duncan

On getting a vote from Simon:

It was really great to have Simon on our side because he's big in the recording industry adn to know that he really believed in us rwas really special. WE know even though Paula chose the SH over us, we know she still had a lot of faith in us. We understand how difficult iwas to have to just chose one out of her own category. - Emily Michalak
