'Three Rivers' diverted from CBS lineup

alexoloughlin_threerivers_02_290.jpgWell, they'll be dammed: Two weeks after CBS moved "Three Rivers" to later timeslot to try and drive ratings, the freshman hospital drama has been bumped from the schedule.

CBS today announced a repeat of "NCIS: Los Angeles" will replace the show on Dec. 6, with a repeat of "Criminal Minds" taking the slot on Dec. 13 and a "Cold Case" rebroadcast stepping in for Dec. 27.

While the network is calling the move a hiatus, the series has struggled in the ratings after its repurposed pilot episode garnered so-so numbers, so odds "Three Rivers" will return are slim. Only eight of the show's original 13 episodes have aired.

A surprisinly robust fan uprising failed to save star Alex O'Loughlin's vampire drama "Moonlight." We don't expect his second series' disappearance to gain as much notice.
