Tiki Barber shunned by NFL: Don't call it a comeback
Following a Sports Illustrated report that Barber didn't get a single call from any one of the 32 league teams over Labor Day weekend (when most rosters were finalized), his reps opened up and promptly closed the matter.
"This is the last time I am speaking on this subject in any way, shape or form," Barber's agent, Mark Lepselter, tells the New York Post. "You can't worry about the things in life you can't control and Tiki has moved forward accordingly.''
Lepselter had previously told SI that they were "flabbergasted" no offer had come through.
So what's next for the 36-year-old? It's anybody's guess. Barber pursued a career in broadcasting after his initial 2006 retirement, working as a contributor on "The Today Show."
But since NBC let him go in 2010, his biggest gig was commentating on the 2011 Super Bowl, abroad, for the BBC.
