Actor Tim Curry reportedly suffered a major stroke Thursday (May 24), though he is said to be recovering in his home. The news was first reported by the Daily Mail, who spoke with his longtime agent, Marcia Hurwitz.
"Tim is doing great," she says of the 67-year-old actor, "He absolutely can speak and is recovering at this time and in great humor." Curry first rose to fame for his starring role in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," in which he played Dr. Frank N. Furter.
In addition to his film career, Curry is a noted stage actor, where he originally played his "Rocky Horror" character. He was last set to take on the role of The Player in a 2011 production of "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead." He had to bow out at the last minute however, citing ill health. At the time it was said he was suffering from asthma attacks, following a chest infection.
