Tim McGraw sued by Curb Records for breach of contract in federal court
Curb initially filed in Tennessee state court. The disagreements involve McGraw's final album at Curb, "Emotional Traffic," which the label says contained songs recorded too early to be considered "new material" under his contract. McGraw claims Curb intentionally delayed the album's release in an effort to keep him under contract.
McGraw most recently released the album "Two Lanes of Freedom" which debuted at #2 on the Billboard album sales charts in February. That release came via Big Machine, also home to country crossover star Taylor Swift.
