Quarterback Tim Tebow is a man without a home. After the New York Jets cut Tebow from the team, no one else has come calling. Well, an Arena Football League team has said they'd welcome him with open arms, but the NFL just doesn't seem interested.
It's possible the quarterback won't make a team in time for the start of the new season, and Yahoo! Sports says there may be a specific reason why. It's rumored that Tebow is being blackballed from the league due to his fan following and the media frenzy that surrounds him. According to an unnamed NFL coach, "He seems like a great guy to have on a team, and I'd be tempted to bring him in as our backup, but it's just not worth dealing with all the stuff that comes with it." Another anonymous coach says, "You don't want to put up with the circus."
Whether or not Tebow lands with a NFL team remains to be seen. He has alternatives, though none of them carry the clout that comes with being in the National Football League. In addition to arena football as a possibility, there's always the Canadian Football League, which might be able to benefit from Tebow's press exposure.
