'Today': Savannah Guthrie a lock to replace Ann Curry - report

savannah-guthrie-ann-curry-today-shakeup.jpgRumors have been swirling in the past week about Ann Curry's imminent departure from "The Today Show," a year into her three-year contract. TMZ is reporting that the hang-up in negotiating her split is money and whether or not she stays with NBC.

Reportedly, Curry wants the full $20 million left on her contract and the freedom to leave NBC. NBC wants to pay her $10 million and slot her into a job as a foreign correspondent. This is apparently the main hang-up in announcing her departure.

Meanwhile, sources tell TMZ that "Today" correspondent Savannah Guthrie is poised to take over, having already made her deal with NBC to succeed Ann as co-anchor. However, NBC wants to get all the deals finalized so they can have Guthrie in place prior to the Olympics starting, so sources are saying the goal is to make the announcement as early as this week, or the first part of next week at the latest.

What do you think? Do you not like Ann Curry as "Today" anchor? And how do you feel about Savannah Guthrie taking over?
