'Today Show': Mia Farrow's son Ronan Farrow possibly Frank Sinatra's, says new interview

Orth interviewed not only Farrow but eight of her children for the piece and Orth tells "Today's" Matt Lauer that Farrow's son Ronan Farrow could belong to legendary entertainer Frank Sinatra.

"I asked her point blank, and I said, 'Is Ronan Frank Sinatra's son?' and she said, 'Possibly.' No DNA tests have been done. But they never really broke up. Obviously they got divorced. She was only 21 when she married him, he was 50, she lost her virginity to him ... she said he was the love of her life," says Orth, who also notes the resemblance between Ronan and Sinatra, both visually and vocally.

"He's very close to the Sinatra family ... Ronan told me that Nancy Sinatra senior fusses over him like an Italian nonna," adds Orth.

Ronan has not commented officially on the Vanity Fair article, but he did tweet Wednesday, "Listen, we're all *possibly* Frank Sinatra's son," so at least he's got a good sense of humor about the whole thing.

Mia Farrow and Frank Sinatra were married from 1966 to 1968 and Ronan wasn't born until 1987 -- when Farrow was currently in a relationship with director Woody Allen. Allen and Farrow split in 1992 after Farrow found out Allen was having a relationship with Soon-Yi, one of her adopted children.

Ronan was raised as Allen's son but has severed ties since the relationship with Soon-Yi became public.

The Vanity Fair interview is on newsstands Thursday, Oct. 3.
