Tom Ford's Vanity Fair strip show
Not every hot young actress is desperate to appear in the coveted Vanity Fair Hollywood issue, considered a major profile booster during the frenzied awards season.
Radar Online's Fresh Intelligence reports that Rachel McAdams ("The Family Stone," "The Notebook," "The Wedding Crashers") recently stormed out of a group grope shoot for the hot-hot-super-hot magazine.
And McAdams reportedly canned her publicist (ouch) after she learned she was expected to pose nude (!) with other less-shy young actresses such as Keira Knightley and Scarlett Johansson.
Whose brilliant idea was this scintillating strip shot? Just that still sex-obsessed Tom Ford, Hollywood's fave former fashion designer who is acting as guest editor for VF's Tinseltown-themed tome.
Some industry insiders think McAdams was brave to take a stand. Hey, it's not like nudity was essential to the storyline. All her flesh flash would do is sell more magazines and further boost Ford's tired enfant terrible ego trip.
The blonde actress -- who would look great naked, by the way -- is already getting enough attention, thank you very much. Her "Stone" sister act has gotten good buzz, even though she skipped the Los Angeles premiere this week (hmmm). And she also received the breakthrough actress award at the ninth annual Hollywood Film Festival in October.
Stand your ground, stick to your guns and keep your skivvies on, Rachel.
