Tom Cruise chops off his 'Rock of Ages' hair
It's assumed Cruise let his hair grow for his role as a rock band frontman in the big-screen adaptation of "Rock of Ages," which wrapped up filming in August. Cruise will play aging rocker Stacee Jaxx who, in the stage version, has a downright depressing story arc.
Cruise showed off his newly-shorn head on Tuesday (Sept. 27) in New York, reports Us -- which has a picture of the new crop.
This isn't the first time Cruise has rocked a super-short 'do. He sported buzz cuts in "Taps" (1981), "Top Gun" (1986), portions of "Born on the Fourth of July" (1989), "A Few Good Men" (1992), "Mission Impossible" (1996) and "Minority Report" (2006).
So, basically, short hair is the guy's default mode. Consider yourself informed.
