Tom Cruise proves he's a dramatic movie star by reading random one-liners
Tom Cruise's track record in Hollywood should be enough to prove that he's a certified movie star, but not for Jimmy Kimmel. No, the late night talk show host decided to put Cruise to the test when he recently visited "Jimmy Kimmel Live" to promote his new movie "Oblivion."
Kimmel tasked Cruise with reciting random one-liners like, "Is there a way to get the soup and the salad?" and "What's your return policy on this panini maker?" The results are pretty hilarious, and are reminiscent of the time Jimmy Fallon made "Lost's" Michael Emerson read "Little Boy Blue" in his creepiest voice.
"Oblivon" is due in theaters on April 19. Directed by Joseph Kosinski, it stars Cruise, Olga Kuryelnko, Morgan Freeman, Melissa Leo and "Game of Thrones" actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.
