The film is about the making of "Mary Poppins" with Emma Thompson playing the book's author P.L. Travers. The rest of the impressive cast includes Colin Farrell, Paul Giamatti, Jason Schwartzman, B.J. Novak, Bradley Whitford and Rachel Griffiths.

Filming for the movie began in September in Los Angeles with scenes being shot at Disneyland on Tuesday (Nov. 6) and Wednesday. Fans tweeted pics, like the one at right, of Hanks portraying the mustachioed entertainment icon at the Happiest Place on Earth.

"Saving Mr. Banks" is scheduled to hit theaters Dec. 20, 2013.
