Tom Hanks to address Yale graduates as 2011 class day speaker
Tom Hanks has been confirmed as the 2011 speaker for the annual tradition. He will address the students on May 22, as guest speeches are not permitted during the actual graduation ceremony.
Spokesman Tom Conroy confirms to CBS News that Hanks has accepted the student's offer to come speak.
The Academy Award winner follows in the footsteps of former President Bill Clinton, who addressed the class of 2010. Other notable speakers include Anderson Cooper and British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
