'Touch' premiere: What did you think?

Touch-poster-cropped.jpgThe new drama "Touch" starring Kiefer Sutherland premiered last night (Jan. 25), giving us a tease of the upcoming season that starts in March. Sutherland plays single dad Martin Bohm. He's overworked and still in mourning for the wife he lost on 9/11.

His son Jake, ( David Mazouz) doesn't speak and has been diagnosed as autistic. What we find out is that he actually has powers far beyond that of a normal person. He's able to see patterns connecting humanity across the world, the red thread of Chinese legend that connects everyone by the ankle.

He's communicating with his father and social worker Clea Hopkins ( Gugu Mbatha-Raw) in symbols and patterns. They're left with the task of interpreting what that means and how to help people.

We want to know what you think. The ratings were pretty great for the pilot episode. It seems that the world missed Kiefer (and we're seriously missing Jack Bauer too) and his haunted eyes. He puts them to good use in this show. This character is pretty defeated at the start of the show, but we have a feeling he's going to get stronger every episode.

Do you buy the connection between people all over the world? Did this tug at your heartstrings? Do you think it's all hooey? Let us know your thoughts below.
