kiefer-sutherland-david-mazouz-touch-fox.jpg "Touch" premiered tonight (Mar. 22) and star Kiefer Sutherland isn't exactly Jack Bauer this time around. In fact, he's about as far from it as he could get. Sutherland plays Martin Bohm, a single dad who lost his wife on 9/11. In addition to that, his son ( David Mazouz) is autistic and doesn't speak. Bohm is at his wits end when he realizes that his son is communicating with numbers and predicting the future.

Complicating matters is social worker Clea ( Gugu Mbatha-Raw) who, though sympathetic, is trying to get Martin to put his son somewhere where he can be better taken care of. This is a show that pulls on the heartstrings ... if you believe the connection theory.

We want to know what you think. The show has a great cast, not the least of which is Mazouz, who acts more through his eyes (and his voice overs) than quite a number of adult actors. Lots of fans have missed Sutherland, but will they respond to a softer character? Both are very haunted and that is something Sutherland does well. Leave your thoughts in the comments. Is "Touch" appointment television for you?
